Reed Clemons, CFP®

Reed began his career in finance as a financial analyst at Oxbow Advisors in 2015. After working as an analyst for a year, Reed wanted to pursue a role that would allow him to leverage his knowledge of investments and work one on one with clients, so he joined Momentum Independend Network (MIN) in 2016 as a financial advisor. Reed and co-partner Jim joined their practices and created Kaighin & Clemons Advisory Team in 2019.

Reed focuses his practice on helping individuals, families, and business owners create bespoke planning & investment strategies. Reed believes that a "planning first" mentality is essential to develop the foundation for all client relationships. Reed takes the necessary steps to make sure he is constantly updated with the important things going on in his client's lives.

"At the end of the day, I understand that trust is the most important factor in any relationship. I try to build trust by carefully listening to my clients and by being available when needed. Analyzing current tax code, developing investment strategies, or planning for retirement can be daunting tasks to take on alone. I want all of my clients to have faith in their personal financial plan and to be confident they are on the right path." 

Reed was born and raised in Corpus Christi, TX but now calls Austin his home. Reed was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity at the University of Texas and graduated with a bachelors degree from Texas in Finance. Reed gained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2021. Currently, Reed volunteers with the Austin Resource Center for the Homeless (ARCH) and the Young Men's Business League (YMBL) of Austin. On the weekends, you can find Reed walking around Tarrytown with his dog Max or golfing at the Local Muny.
